The appeal fund now stands at just over £108,000! The support for this project by the people of Writtle has been fantastic and as we approach our target figure of £130,000 the excitement of seeing the work started is growing. We have launched a scheme to raise money for bell number 11, whereby a kilo of bell metal can be bought for £10. The bell weighs approximately 1,130 kg and at the time of writing 55 kgs has been bought. If you would like to help our project by buying a kilo of bell metal then we would be pleased to hear from you. We still have to raise money for the tenor (£20,000), so if you know someone or a group of people who might wish to, then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
