Welcome to the All Saints Writtle Bell Ringers Website. Thank you for visiting and we hope you enjoy browsing through the information that you find here. We have tried to make the site as informative as possible for all visitors. As well as ringing information there are items which will hopefully interest you if you are not a bellringer or just a visitor to the village. There are pictures, details of the bells, peals, and links to other bellringing related websites.  The site is regularly updated and improved so remember to bookmark this page and visit us again.

Writtle All Saints Bell Appeal logoWrittle All Saints Bell Appeal - Phase 2: the Sound Lantern
More and more these days, churches are fitting sound control systems to enable the volume of the bells to be reduced during practice sessions, or for secular ringing activities such as visiting bands or peal ringing. We propose to install such a system and install a Sound Lantern to provide a more uniform, all-round, sound.

Until the work on the sound control system is complete there will be no peals, other than two a year involving local ringers.  Visitors are, however, most welcome; we practice on Tuesdays 7.15 – 9.00pm and ring on Sundays at 10.00am for a 10.45am service. Quarter peals are sometimes also rung on the first and third Sunday for evening services.

Thank you to all those who have already donated and recognised the significance of the project.
